Meryl Hartzband Joins Conning’s Board of Directors

 

Hartford, Connecticut – January 9, 2018 – Conning, a leading global investment management firm, announced today that it has added Meryl Hartzband to its Board of Directors. Ms. Hartzband, a respected financial services industry veteran with a successful career that spans more than 30 years, joins Conning as the firm continues to grow globally and extend its investment offerings.

Before joining Conning’s Board, Ms. Hartzband was the Chief Investment Officer of Stone Point Capital and a member of the Investment Committees of the Trident Funds from 1999-2015. Prior to that, she was a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., where, during a 16-year career, she managed private equity investments in the financial services industry. Ms. Hartzband’s board experience includes her current role on the Board of The Navigators Group, Inc., a publicly-traded specialty insurance company listed on NASDAQ. Past directorships include Vanbridge Holdings Ltd., ACE Limited, Travelers Property Casualty Corp., AXIS Capital Holdings Limited, Alterra Capital Holdings Limited, and numerous portfolio companies of the Trident Funds.

Ms. Hartzband holds a B.A. with honors from Cornell University and an M.B.A. with honors from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
