Chief Executive Officer, Conning Asset Management Limited

Simon Hawkins, is a Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Conning Asset Management Limited, Conning’s European asset management operation, where he is responsible for Corporate Governance and all Portfolio Management oversight. He is a member of the firm’s Investment Policy Committee, and was previously a Senior Portfolio Manager, managing assets for a range of UK, US, Bermudian and European insurance market clients, with a focus on the Lloyd’s of London market where Conning has a dominant position. He previously was a portfolio manager at several other institutions, and has over 25 years’ experience managing insurance company assets. He earned a master’s degree in mathematics from the University of Cambridge and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
